You can catch a glimpse of their kitchen table - right in the middle of the kitchen prep area.  These homeowners wanted more space in their kitchen, especially for occasions when they entertain.

SOLUTION

Remove wall dividing kitchen from dining area (see full wall on image above left; see half wall with countertop on images here)

Create additional countertop area with more working space

New cabinet style and design for more room and accessibility

Now the homeowners had the option to create their dining area in the adjacent room, but it will no longer feel detached from the kitchen due to the half wall.

Down to the studs, making way for the new kitchen.

Remove the wall and add a structural header.

Complete the drywall and prepare for installing the new products.

The homeowners were a little scared when they saw their kitchen in this state - but within a week we had drywall in place and were ready to start installing the new products.

Now the kitchen has plenty of space, and the dining area is no longer separated from the kitchen area by a full wall.  This project was completed in time for the Holidays of 2016.
